Who we are
Incorporated in August 2016, Boddhi Tree Foundation began its journey by supporting rural women through access to low-emission cooking stoves. This marked the beginning of our commitment to creating positive social change, which expanded into education in September 2018. Today, we provide free, live online tuition to underprivileged children through dedicated teachers and volunteers, while training teachers to extend our reach and support even more children.

Our work
Three focused programmes that open the door to quality education for children who need it most.
Free live online classes in Maths, English, Science and Social Studies for students in Classes 1 to 12. A smartphone and one to two hours of internet a day is all a child needs to learn with us.

We equip teachers and faculty with modern, child-centred teaching skills, so every classroom they lead reaches more children in their own schools and communities.

Structured internships and hands-on projects in teaching, digital media, HR and fundraising give young people real experience and the confidence to lead.

BTF: A Journey of Learning, Growth and Giving Back
The Covid-19 lockdown was a time when the world came to a standstill. With schools, offices, sports and social interactions coming to a halt, it was difficult to make sense of the world around us. Amid those uncertain times, I found BTF—a platform that not only gave me an opportunity to pursue my aspiration of teaching, but also introduced me to a wonderful community where I could meet people, share experiences, learn and grow together.
When I joined BTF, my intention was to contribute as a teacher. However, Deepak Sir recognised that I had more to offer and gave me the opportunity to contribute to the HR department as well. From my very first interaction, I knew that BTF was a special place—a place filled with happiness, warmth and encouragement, where people are nurtured and given the freedom to grow.
What made my journey truly special was the opportunity to interact with children and witness their growth. Knowing that, directly or indirectly, I had contributed to a child's development brought an indescribable sense of pride and satisfaction.
My time at BTF taught me discipline, communication, adaptability, teamwork and, above all, patience. BTF has been more than an organisation; it has been a place that turns a spark into a fire.
Congratulations to the entire BTF family, and especially Deepak Sir, on completing a decade of service to society. Wishing BTF many more years of inspiring lives and creating change!

Grateful to Boddhi Tree Foundation for giving me the opportunity to teach during the difficult times of COVID-19. Connecting with students online, especially Manasvi, a bright girl who loved Mathematics, taught me that education should be a right, not a privilege. My association with Boddhi Tree Foundation was my first experience of working with an NGO, and while I was initially a little nervous about what to expect, it soon became one of the most meaningful experiences I’ve had.
Teaching the children was truly eye-opening. Their warmth, innocence and enthusiasm made every visit special, and even years later, I still carry those memories with me. It was incredibly fulfilling to be able to contribute, even in a small way, to a cause much bigger than myself.
I’m also deeply grateful to Deepak Sir, whose kindness, warmth and constant guidance made the experience even more special. Boddhi Tree taught me that sometimes the smallest contributions can leave the biggest impact, and I’m very grateful to have been a part of its journey.
Aishwarya Sharma
I am currently pursuing a degree in Economics and Mathematics at Barnard College, Columbia University, with a minor in Psychology. I am interested in investment banking, restructuring, and valuation, and have gained experience across investment banking and debt & special situations.
My journey with Boddhi Tree Foundation began during high school, when I joined as a volunteer and became actively involved in fundraising and the Foundation’s initiatives. I later had the opportunity to serve as the All-India Head of Human Resources, overseeing HR activities across 17 states and supporting the organization’s continued growth. I was incredibly honored to receive the Social Impact Champion Award, the Foundation’s sole individual honor at its 10th Anniversary.
Boddhi Tree has played a meaningful role in shaping my leadership journey, and I remain deeply grateful for the experiences, relationships, and opportunities it has given me to grow, contribute, and create meaningful social impact.

I was a college fresher when i joined Boddhi tree foundation. This organisation completing 10 years means so much to those who have been the part of this beautiful journey. Deepak sir has put his heart and soul to the organisation to grow and reach where ever it is today. Teaching students and interacting with them every weekend has been the most memorable part of my college life. This organisation is doing a commendable job and students also eagerly wait for the teachers to visit them. I wish Boddhi Tree Foundation all the very best for future endeavours.

Bodhi tree foundation gave me a chance to give back to society through teaching under privileged kids. These kids helped me to challenge my own limits by thinking about what would be the best way to explain a concept and helped me to step out of my comfort zone. The time spent with those kids has been really meaningful for me and has always made me appreciate the role of teachers even more. I am grateful for this learning opportunity.
